I’m Samantha. I've always been a planner. I love setting goals, mapping out my days, dreaming big. But infertility slowly stole that from me. When you're constantly hoping you'll be pregnant by a certain date, planning beyond a few weeks can feel impossible.
Then, in April, my life fell apart.
My husband left—unexpectedly. Two holidays were cancelled. Our fifth round of IVF was no longer happening.
Suddenly, I was single, living alone, and facing a solo summer for the first time in my adult life.
It was devastating.
But something inside me stirred.
I leaned back on the one thing I still had: my ability to dream, organise and plan.
I used the same organisation skills I’d always brought to my job—but this time, I used them for me. I wrote a bucket list. I booked some trips, including my first-ever solo holiday. I tried new things, met new people, and filled my summer with intention.
